Last night M. was using up a small ball of natural wool and knitted up and felted me a lovely little mutant sea urchin toy - then filled with natural wool from her stash that she had carded at Cap Uni plus a couple of squeakers. She found the pattern on Ravelry and it gave her a chance to re-aquaint herself with knitting in the round with double-pointed needles and making baubles (the round sticky outy bits). The bauble placement is a bit funny - but that only makes it funner to chew on. THEN, she used the rest of the wool to knit up a free-form scarf (with three baubles) that she also felted, added a vintage button closure to keep it snug around my neck - and to top it all added off a few french knots!
Check out my sartorial splendour!!

Love the new scarf and toy! I'm glad you are such a good listener. Daisy and Bamboo still don't know the difference between a knit and pearl. When I try to tell them they just stare at me blankly.
