We're having a heat wave... a tropical heat wave...

Oh my, it's hot out. Luckily I love to swim like my mom so I am in the ocean fetching my sticks as much as caninely possible to keep cool.

I know I have to catch you guys up on what I have been doing lately because my mom has been too busy enjoying her summer to help me with my blog. Here is a quick canineopsis o
f what I have been doing since my last spring blog-post:
1. A wonderful trip to the Sunshine Coast in June to celebrate mom's birthday. We stayed in the most charming cottage by the sea that had pretty pink poppies everywhere. Dad was in charge of the barbeque and fi
re making and mom basically lazed about and was treated like the princess she believes she is.
2. Generally tons of frolicking and goofing around in our much loved Kits neighbourhood - we found a secret spot that has a sweet cherry tree for snacks mid-walk.
3. A fun visit to Manning Park in July to visit my auntie Laurie, uncle Roger and their little ones Shelby and Casey.
4. G
ardening with mom and dad - I like to sit quietly in a spot of shade and munch on the little strawberries by grandma's memorial bench - they are just little small sweet ones that the pesky squirrels don't seem to notice - yum.
5. Uh, swimming natch.

6. A couple of haircuts by Jackie. She found some paint on my hair from the paint job that mom and dad just did to the apartment - summer breeze blue, cloud white and appalachian brown - well at least it was zero VOC!
7. I'm getting excited about my portrait that Athena is doi
ng of me! She is my dad's talented friend and her paintings are collected widely so I am very honoured that she agreed to immortalize me. It's going to be really big too!
8. Oh Happy belated Canada Day! I even wore my Canadian flag the whole day and greeted many fellow citizens down at Granville Island. True patriot love and all that jazz.

I have included a few pictures for you to enjoy of my activities - one of me that my friends Dwight and Deb took when I was a baby!. Hope you are all enjoying your summer, much love and delicate little licks to your toes, CB.
