Favourite Toy Photoshoot Goes Awry

Woofrygrowly growlwoof...Harumph! There we were... mommy and daddy and me having so much fun at Jericho Beach on our photoshoot about my favourite toys when we were suddenly pounced on by the Animal Control POLICE!! More about that later.

Check out my all-time favourite toys. Wormy, Brown Bone and Turtle. These are my toys that I love the most and the first ones I go for when rooting around in my toy box - yes I have a toy box. My Turtle
is my very first toy that mommy bought me when I was just little. It's made out of recyled pop bottles in the good 'ole U.S. of A. So is Brown Bone. I got Wormy from my Uncle David and Aunt Kiky and it's really a sausage dog toy but it looks like a big fat worm to me.

Well, more about the bad man who scared me. Mommy said later that she had a 'feeling' ,whatever that means, that something was up! The man was very stern but I guess he thought I was pretty cute in my scarf and all, or maybe that was mommy?... anyways he said he could have fined us over $1,000 bones for everything that my parents were doing wrong... being on the beach... being off leash... and to top it all off having n
o license... Daddy was pretty smart too because he pretended he didn't know anything about anything at all - hee hee hee and Mommy kept her big mouth shut. In the end he let us off with a warning.
We warned everyone we saw about the DOG POLICE and got a lot of sympathy... as 80% of the people that use Jericho in the fall are dog owners. Me and my family think in the off season dog owners should be allowed to go off leash and on the beach. It's only reasonable. Bylaws that don't make any sense should be challenged don't you agree? Well hope you enjoyed our beautiful fall Sunday! Woof yah later. Love, C.B.

Little Bicky - follows his heart

After careful deliberation I decided (with the help of my parent's wise advice) to follow my heart and vote Green. Yes, I know what many of you are thinking, I'm like a dog with a bone and won't let go of the idea that by voting with my heart and mind - I can make a difference.

Did you know that for every vote the Green Party receives, they get some bones, I mean $$'s for each vote? That means by supporting them even if it isn't the most strategic darn thing in the world they are building their coffers and support around the country. Wouldn't it be great if there was an alternate viewpoint being presented to Canadians - viewpoints that many ordinary joe six packs and hockey moms share? Oops, wrong election. Well maybe the hocky moms is legit.

Boo! My Dad just informed me that Elizabeth didn't gain her seat. Darn.

Well, anyhoohow, this is just a shout out there for all of you who took the time to cast your vote no matter what party you are woofing for.

My nicknames & politics

Some of you that don't know me that well yet may not know my nicknames... I really have two main ones besides the really mushy ones that I don't want to share with you tee hee. The one I'm most especially attached to is one that my mommy's mom Etta gave me... "little bicky". When Etta was a little girl in Dublin, biscuits or cookies were called bickies. Hence my nickname 'bicky'. Etta wasn't really a dog lover but because she loved my mommy so much she smiled sweetly and pretended to love me too! My mom even started a 'little bicky' knitware line last year - see the scarf I'm wearing in my blog main picture? I'm particularly fond of my green shrug which is a cable knit pattern.

The other nickname that mom and dad also like to call me is 'raisin' because now that I'm older my jet black puppy coat has turned into the same colour as a raisin. Plus I'm plump and sweet too!

Tonight we watched the U.S. and Canadian political debates and I have decided to vote for the Green Party - and not just because my shrug is green. I thought Elizabeth May was a firecracker! What I would like to see is more rights for poodles and a poodle tax credit that can be put towards organic meaty bones... and a family allowance cheque for my mom and dad so they can keep me in the style that I have become accustomed to. Bye for now - vote GREEN!
